items you should look for when comparing laminated floor ratings
are:
1. Strength & durability of laminated floor
2. Type of laminated floor finish used
3. Is it a high or medium density fiber board
4. AC wear & used rating
The AC wear & use is as follows:
1. AC2-Class 23, Moderate residential & should only be
used for low use areas such as bedrooms.
2. AC3-Class 31, Heavy residential & can be used in all
areas of the home. Moderate commercial & should be used
in low traffic areas.
3. AC4-Class 32, General commercial. Is suitable for large
offices.

A: The laminated flooring wear layer is designed to be transparent,
scratch & stain resistant.
B: The laminated flooring design layer is layered with various
patterns that range from wood grains to colorful, fancy, decorative
& intricate laminated flooring designs.
C: The laminated flooring core is made from high-density fiberboard
(HDF). The core is manufactured with a water resistant glue.
D: The laminated flooring balancing or stabilizing layer has
a melamine resin infused into it to help reduce cupping &
warping.
